Stephanie Mantelman MA, LPC

Stephanie Mantelman obtained her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She specializes in trauma-informed psychotherapy with adolescents and young adults. Stephanie’s experience includes having worked with individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, survivors of sexual abuse, and other traumas.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Stephanie is an experienced, dedicated, and passionate professional. Stephanie has worked with clients diagnosed with severe mental illness in a residential setting including individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, conducting full psychosocial assessments and treatment planning, as well as connecting clients with community-based resources. She is further experienced in trauma-based treatment with children and adolescents and tailors treatment based on client’s needs, goals, and desires. Stephanie also utilizes CBT skills and mindfulness skills. Stephanie is an enthusiastic group facilitator and enjoys watching a group form together over the course of 8 weeks or so. This is a strong bond that is built in a safe space that allows individuals to normalize their situation with others who may be experiencing the same, if not similar struggles.

Stephanie’s professional experience includes professional trainings in the areas of trauma and adolescents, play therapy, and severe mental illness. Stephanie has attended the ACA conference and continues to strive to learn new therapeutic techniques and information to best treat her clients.
